WELCOME!  My name is Crystal Scott.  I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Certified Mental Health and Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP).  My inception in the field of Psychology began in 2001.  I received my M.A. Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2004 from Holy Names University, Oakland, CA; prior, I received  my B.S. Degree in Organizational Management in 2000, from Patten University, Oakland CA., and currently completing doctoral studies (Ph.D.) at GCU.  I have been licensed since 2008 in California and received licensure in Texas in 2010.  In 2016 I obtained licensure in Michigan, and opened a location there.  Following are some of the various issues I have addressed in therapy: depression, anxiety, PTSD, conduct disorder, ADHD, parenting issues, family systems, relationships and couples issues, bipolar, abuse, addiction, etc.  I bring Christian values to the therapeutic experience, but do not require Christianity from others.  I also value diversity and multi-cultural awareness.  A cognitive behavioral approach such as Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) is utilized to emphasize the importance of thought, emotions, and humanistic aspects in understanding how to effectively work through life issues and disturbances, develop human potentials, and live a happy life.  Solution-focused therapy is also an approach that is often used in tandem with other therapeutic approaches.  My desire is to help individuals to be true to themselves and experience happiness, success, and a healthy relationship with self and others.
